D&D 5E [OOC] A Light Hearted Princes of Elemental Evil Hack and Slash

Well, the potential appearance of the Knight Captain of Mirabar changes a lot of my thinking on whether Dent will immediately want a rest. Granted, he's at 10 hp, but he also has a newly acquired set of plate armor (which is totally killer, btw, Creamsteak). His bond is that he's loyal first to his Knight Captain. Probably Dent will feel compelled to soldier on in search of the KC. Still, he's no dummy, and would recognize that it's better tactics to rest up a little before sallying forth.

Short rest?

A short rest would let me use Hit dice, but wouldn't recharge my spells. However, I still have my wildshapes so I've got some tricks left.

I`m fine with a long rest. Creamsteak, did we get any intel from the monk we kept and interrogated (nija'ed by your treasure post)?

Barring some really well rolled persuasion/deception/intimidation or creative questioning, the monks are really tight-lipped and relatively disciplined captives. You are welcome to go for it though.

Hey everyone -- it's been a busy 8 hours! Holy smokes.

Catching up:
yay on downing the abbess; yay on loot.

Carradoc is down to a single second-level spell (plus cantrips), but is at full hp. He'd be willing to proceed (but he's not clever that way, you'll have noticed). A short rest won't help him, only a long one.

Don't forget basic identification and attunement rules. I assume a suit of plate still functions as a suit of plate, but the use of the spell at-least would require attunement.

Also random notification, the party will be 5th level when they next long rest. Adding yet more fuel to the fire about whether to stay or go or whatever.

Thx, I figured his AC would be at 20 until he attunes. But even without attunement the plate is still better than the AC 18 Dent got from his splint. He'll go ahead and wear the plate now and will wait for the other benefits until attunement.

Oooh! Ethical dilemma for Dent! His Oath and his bond prollie require him to forge onward to find the KC. But long rest = 5th level!

He's an interested party. Biased. Y'all decide and he'll do whatever. Good rp opportunity either way for me. :)

5th Level is tasty... I know I get a new invocation (which automatically goes to the the two attack with pact weapon one because duh) and I believe I get 3rd level Spell Slots, plus a 3rd level spell. I'd actually be willing to press on after taking a short rest and see if we can free the prisoners, then head back to town for our long rest or just get away and take a long rest. Metagaming, I wouldn't think there would be that much more left here after all the fighting, but I could easily be wrong.
