@Creamsteak Is ye olde equipment store open and can Damien find some studded leather armor? He's also going to purchase an empty scabbard for a rapier so he can summon his pact blade and just leave it there. Just let me know if I need to account for a cost for that...

The highest quality leather workers in town are at Chansyrl Fine Harness (location 6). Stylish leather jackets, longcoats, caps, boots, leggings, bracers, belts, baldrics, and full leather armor are in stock in all sizes.

Tantur Smithy (location 9) has skilled smiths who can make almost anything that requires no specialized alloys or treatments. They can temper swords and reinforce armor, and they often repair tools and weapons.

Gaelkur's (location 17) offers second-hand, used, and sometimes shady equipment... as well as serving as the town's barber shop and a secondary tavern.

Vallivoe's Sundries (location 22) is the general goods store in town with most items. It's the only place with blank books and parchment.

OOC: Is everyone leveled? Is everyone still around?
I'm here and leveled Dent last week. He stuck to Paladin 5, got 2nd level paladin spells, more hit points, and a boost to his proficiency bonus. His RG entry is finished for level 5. The only thing on my to-do list is to thumb through the MM and see what sorts of beasts I'm interested in for find steed.

Steve Gorak - thanks for the cash; happily received.

Creamsteak - I don't suppose there are scroll vendors or others who might have magical information for sale/trade in town? Time is short and I don't think Carradoc is hunting these things out particularly, but if something presented itself when he isn't feeding the children or copying out his own spell book, he would pursue it.

Also -- let me know if I should deduct funds for room and board for the three.

I don't have the pricing for those things in front of me, but it's a common inn room. I don't think anyone veered off for any of the alternative cheaper options. Ale and etc are also all phb prices here. - for room and board I mean.

As for magical wares, scrolls, etc that might be for sale... there's not much in Red Larch. It's not market day, which occurs once every tenday, and where farmers and passing caravaners might be by with more exotic stuff. For now, in the market, there is only a single half-orc selling jars of his home-made pickles if you're interested.

FYI, Thaliss is now leveled and ready to go, but if the inks to transcribe spells & materials to cast find familiar are unavailable, I'll need to change the character sheet to remove all of that (impacts 3 rituals and casting of find familiar, no biggie).
Creamsteak, when is the next tenday market? It might be worth waiting if it's only in a few days. For Thaliss, it isn't a big deal, but I sure Carradoc will want to transcribe his 3rd level spells ;-)

Cheers,

SG

Here is Aridha's proposed replacement:

Unlike Aridha, Maighan is a druid's druid. She's all about the natural order, and upholding the balance. She has a compassionate heart, and a sense of duty to living beings in general.

In short, she should be a much more interesting personality in this bunch. :) She's also prehooked into the adventure, coming to investigate claims of a strange druidic cult operating in the area. This means she'll have a lot of personal drive in investigating the cults, and will be dependent on you guys to help, despite your many differences in points of view. :)

And of course, as a druid she is more tolerant of 'evil' than a lot of goody-goodies. She recognizes the need for such, even if she has chosen to favor 'goodness' in her own path.

Maighan is a member of a larger druid organization, an old order that was originally founded by treants who wished to keep tabs on the world beyond their forests, watching it for signs of threats long before such threats could come for them. Now more mobile druid and ranger 'agents' rove the world, alert for dangers not just to forests, but to the natural order itself. They use Animal Messenger networks to convey information back to the treant groves; the ancients of which have monumentally vast memories and wisdom, which they use to orchestrate the activities of their agents.

They don't possess a great deal of influence or worldly goods, nor armies, but their knowledge is formidable, and many of their operatives are of exceptional caliber (as is reflected by Maighan's ability scores, which are just Aridha's ability scores rearranged to better suit this concept).

In terms of combat, Maighan is ranged and magical support. She has a variety of good combat spells, mixing damage potential, crowd control, and ally support (largely via healing). She can shoot a mean arrow too. If forced into melee, she can wildshape, or use the Shillelagh spell to hold her own.

I'm planning a 'handoff' post where Aridha and Maighan meet, brief one another, and Aridha passes the motes to her as well as tells her who to seek out (you guys).

The only part of the sheet that's incomplete is the equipment...which is more of a level 1 thing at the moment. I'm not sure if I should/can ask for some kind of better gear to reflect her level 5 status...but let me know if so, cuz I wouldn't mind the chance. :)
