Well he gave you more than 2000 gp worth of stuff, so more than 2k and only some of you get paid while he touts the others. I can make a rough of 100pp each, you were asking how much Portal travel cost not how much you would get paid

For myself, I don't generally look up the price of magic items when I'm a player.
Looking back, you're right. Gredmark did say keep it.

Gredmark has been all about quid pro quo, but hasn't stated what that's worth. So Aril asked how much it would cost for portal travel, hoping for some kind of concrete answer in terms of money. So far IC Gredmark has been as slippery as snot on a doorknob.

If we want to say that they hammer out the details and move on, that's fine.

Not having asked "Why?", they haven't pryed into his affairs, so going out to dinner elsewhere shouldn't be a problem. Eliath has been missing a month already. Eating dinner ain't going to change that.

If I’m getting you, you’re saying that we don’t accept the job right away. Instead, we go out and discuss over food to decide what to do then come back and make an offer. I’d be fine to hand waive the dinner part: we eat and discuss off screen and hammer out some details ooc.

It could be a good way to say, “we get to know each other and have some trust”

PbP is slow so if everyone is up for finding Eliath, we should decide which of the places we are going first and start looking.
