Okay, it looks like the trap needs time to recharge.

So we could create fires to draw the attacks from the trap, then run through.

Except fires agitate the toads and it seems like the toads have a cold aura.

@Quickleaf could I do an Intelligence or Investigation check to see if Izek can think of a workable plan because I can't?

I'd prefer to avoid getting in that habit. It sounds like some of the group have ideas, and I'd prefer to let that play out than basically handing you all a script.

If the group continues to be perplexed or feels like you need additional clues, I can offer potential courses of action, but I won't offer a specific single plan.

Sounds like @Aethmud is making a run for it to the Gem Press.

Is this a "we let him guinea pig himself to see what happens"?

Or a "a bunch of us are rushing together"?

Basically, giving everyone a bit of time if others are intent on rushing with Jack or taking other action. Jack has instigated. But you've got time to decide what you want to do as he's darting off.

Jack's willing to be an instigator. For the sake of proper roleplay, I'm trying to decide whether Jack would be aware that it's Alma communicating with him telepathically? Or would the voices seem unfamiliar?

At least one of the voices sounds like Alma, and up to you if the speech pattern would feel familiar enough for Jack to be able to tell.

I'm not sure whether Alma would be able to "hear" the thoughts that Jack tried to convey to her telepathically. If not, no worries. :D

Lumrolur already tripped a trap once. He is able and willing to rush forward...if the trick with the fire works. That said, did the trap trigger second time on him? He didn't let it trigger, but when he reentered the space did the holes light up?
