D&D 5E OotA: The Return of Glabbagool?

So Glabbagool was a hit with my players. Because I did a solo run with the player of the warlock whose patron is Araumycos, who went off with Glabbagool and Weequass (the flumph the party found in Gracklstugh) to help Basidia aid his patron (i.e. The Fetid Wedding), the players got to see (or read, in the Google Hangout where it all went down) Glabbagool confronting its "father", Juiblex, fighting off its demonic influence and ultimately resisting it with a telepathic shout of "There's more to life than food!"

(This happened because the warlock's player left the game for a time, just as the party was leaving Neverlight Grove after learning what was really going on there. He joined Basidia and its followers in their exodus, along with Glabbagool and Weequass, and rejoined the party fortuitously just as Mistress Ilvara caught up with them as they were escaping the Underdark.)

Glabbagool stayed in the Underdark with Weequass, who had become something of a mentor to it (and a friend, and something it could relate to in some ways as it also had no bones, or gender). The flumph was still looking for a colony of its kind and had invited Glabbagool to join it on its travels.

AFAIK, Glabbagool never makes an appearance in the rest of the module. But could it?

Is there anywhere that the sentient cube (and its flumph mentor) could show up that would be appropriate, or humorous, or (ideally) both?

The party is running through the Gates of Firestorm Peak right now, getting to 8th level before making their way to Gauntlgrym and the second half of OotA. So any time after that point would work.

Any ideas or suggestions? I think my players would love to see Glabbagool pop up in an unexpected place later on in the story.

I'm all for more Glabbagool... He is my favorite chararacter in the module. Maybe an encounter by chance, with some comedy timing?

I was thinking maybe an appearance by it and Weequass as "time ghosts" in the Library of Stone. Perhaps Weequass was looking for the location of some more flumphs? Maybe they were led there by a member of the Society of Brilliance?

Oo! Or maybe they appear there as "time ghosts" from the FUTURE! What sort of hijinks could a sentient cube get up to over the next few decades?

I had Glabbagool head to Blingdenstone, pulled by the call of Jubilex (but not controlled by Jubilex) and reunited with the party there for the big battle. Glabbagool later joined forces with Basidia and played a role in the final battle and has joined the Society of Brilliance -- the party definitely hasn't seen the last of Glabbagool.

Are the PCs having a tough time with a fight in the Underdark? Have Glabbagool show up behind the enemies, just doing what it does best (cleaning corridors). The enemies will have to get out of his way, scatter, or at least split their attention.

By the end of the adventure, Glabbagool might be leading an army (well, a squad) of other jellies, slimes, &c., showing up as unexpected reinforcements to bother the Demon Lords and keep them in place to fight each other as much as the PCs.

Maybe the PCs hear a telepathic call for help. Glabbagool has fallen into a 20-foot deep pit and can't get out. ("Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!") He might get strong enough to pull himself out if the PCs drop something/someone on top of him to eat. The flumph might have figured out a casting of Levitate would be in order; side quest!
