Well, that was exactly Nale's plan. Go back to the first two panels of #383, then pay close attention to what's in his hands in #386.

No it wasn't. Nale wanted to sleep with her then kill her (pretty much simultaneously). He should have killed her instead of inviting her to a date, or at least kill her the moment they are alone and she's not wearing armor.

Instead, he let himself get heavily distracted.

Cao Cao made almost the exact same historical mistake, and it cost him a cousin, his eldest son, and his wife (who was angry that he was cheating, and that led to the death of her #1 son).

"When she's ready to let you have her way with her, you'll kill her instead." First panel, the intent is to kill just before the moment Haley expects to, ah, find unlawful carnal knowledge.

"When 'Elan' runs her through with a dagger at the cusp of the consumation of her wildest romantic fantasy" Second panel, again, the intent is not to sleep with her then kill her (a sequence), nor to kill her while sleeping with her (simultaneously), but to kill her BEFORE anything interesting happens. Just before, for maximum psychological impact, but still before.

In simpler words, Nale was not planning on getting laid. He just pretended to want to sleep with the heroine, but did not try to do so.

Maybe Haley will FINALLY get past whatever mental block she has and learn to speak again.

Raise dead does cure a lot of afflictions.

Whether she makes it out depends on Nale's Character class[es] and how much sneak he has. Haley is in a flank with a drainer and Nale and I'm confident Sabine is good at grappling. Haley looks to be unarmed {the dress gift may be more practical than it seemed at first]
