OOTS 386 is up.

I'm actually disappointed. I was pulling for Nale to succeed in his seduction; maybe then Haley's affliction would be cured... and THEN have her learn that she spent the night with Nale. It would blow her fragile little mind... again.

Then again, I always pull for the bad guys. :p

Haley could just slap Nalelan, dealing 1d3+Str mod+5d6 nonlethal damage (assuming she's a rogue of equal level to Durkon's cleric level). She might even knock him out! That's some slapping!

Well, without the interruption, Nale would have succeeded, which would result in Haley getting a dagger into her back (which might count as a coup-de-grace), which, pending damage dealt, could have killed her. Now you could say that death makes a great cure-all, but she'd have little mind that could be blown to pieces, at least not connected to her body. ;)

I want to see Haley explain to Nale how stupid it was to try to stab her to death...

"I'm a 12th level rogue; I think I can take 1d4 dagger damage."

"You couldn't coup-de-gras me; I'd have to be helpless ... and frankly, Nale, you're not THAT good a kisser."

Yeah, not flat footed, not flankable, not helpless for cdg.... "Gee, you rolled max damage... plus your str mod, thats a whole 8 points of damage!"

Actually, a level of assassin would take care of all of that.
