Well, yes, that's just what's funny. You know that's Thog's weakness, and I know, because we were able to read his monologue 15 strips earlier, but Elan wasn't there at the time.

Technically, it wouldn't have helped if Elan were there. It being an internal monologue and all.

You know, it's taken me almost 400 strips to truly realize it... (Or at least to consciously realize it; I think I've known for a while now, at some level...)

The whole "bumbling adventurer" thing is fun for a while, but I think I prefer the Order actually being comptenent. Knowing what they're doing. Acting smart.

It just works better for me, both in terms of story and humor. I don't mind the occasional gaffe, but I think, for the most part, I prefer scenes like this one, rather than when the Order is outsmarted, or trip themselves up.

I honestly think I need to do this. Since I have been reading OotS [almost] since it's debut, I have forgotten much of the past stories. Time to go back and read them again
