You know, it's taken me almost 400 strips to truly realize it... (Or at least to consciously realize it; I think I've known for a while now, at some level...)

The whole "bumbling adventurer" thing is fun for a while, but I think I prefer the Order actually being competent. Knowing what they're doing. Acting smart.

It just works better for me, both in terms of story and humor. I don't mind the occasional gaffe, but I think, for the most part, I prefer scenes like this one, rather than when the Order is outsmarted, or trip themselves up.

It certainly is a breath of fresh air. I'm quite pleased, myself.

It will be interesting to see if Nale survives the blast - he was already pretty wounded by Elan's rapier.

On the flipside, Haley looks to be in pretty bad shape...

Did anyone else notice V's, "At least I managed to have the spell prepared?" murmered under his breath? Friggin awesome!

Notice how the 'bigby' hand is fully formed and not in stick form?
Notice how the hand is holding Belkar daintily? ;)

Man, I hope not. I'm so tired of Nale. Let's move on (or back) to interesting villains...
Well, since the defensive towers of Azure City have been taken out, it shouldn't be long before Xykon shows up with his army, preceded by one or two strips by Miko.

Dramatically speaking, an Evil Twin should only be killed either as a result of his own evil actions, or by the hand of his Good Twin forced to finally kill him.

Therefore, I'd feel it would be rather cheap if Nale died from anything other then being slain by Elan or getting himself killed by an evil scheme gone wrong..

While my first reaction to reading that was, "how formulaic... do something original!" I realized that yeah, I wouldn't be satisfied if Nale was killed any other way. :)
