411 is a phone number you call for information. Recently it's been used as slang to indicate getting information. "Wow, that strip really gave the 411 on the gate," means "Wow, that strip really gave us a lot of information on the gate."

411 is the number in the U.S. for Directory Assistance, previously called "Information" (the number you call to get an operator to look up someone's phone number), much like 911 is the Emergency number to call the authorities.

Thus 411 has become a slang term for "information".

Understandable, but it doesn't have to be Windstriker to fullfill the prophecy. It just has to be Miko's stupid horse.

Tim

The prophecy isn't what is at stake -- the question he asked the oracle used "or", not "and". So has long as he causes the death of at least one of a long list of characters, the prophecy will be fulfilled. The issue is Belkar's ambition, which uses "and" not "or". He'd like to kill all of them, or as many as he can.

Miko's horse being now safe was one of the first things that hit me when she lost her status. Even mentioned it on another thread, so I have to admit I'm getting a kick out of Belkar's grey lining to his silver cloud.

Given that he was actively trying to get her to fall (in earlier strips)... I've got very little sympathy for his poor planning.
