OotS #416

OotS #416 is up here.

It's funny because it's true!

I also just realised that despite the fact that no-one has a nose, Xykon's head still has a nose "hole". Weird.

Not as funny as as it has been of late. Xyklon comes off as a bit of a buffoun instead of the uber-evil, yet quirky bad guy we've come to know and hate. I actually like his goblin lackey better in this one.

Xykon is powerful and he knows it. He doesn't HAVE to take his enemies seriously. Even the Order only managed to stall him, and in the process they actually HELPED him.

Why should he be any more serious?

Right.

And who's going to die if he marches right to the castle? Disposable minions. And who will enjoy seeing them die? Xykon, of course!

it's not something he's going to lose sleep over. Such as he could.

I'd guess wis. I mean he's immune to most mind-affected spells as an undead, so who needs it? Besides, his plan to let Elan pop the last gate seemed pretty decent int.

Any guesses on what the plan is? Let Xykon's spell immunity tie up the low level spellcasters?

Xykon putting himself in any kind of personal danger?! I just can't see that happening. Not while he has living (or undead) minions.

I can't help wondering if we're about to see a betrayal of Xykon and the (attempted) ascension of Redcloak as primary villain.

(Okay, I don't honestly expect that. But it'd be interesting.)
