Alway the way back Miko has been written this way and even the other Paladins don't like her. She will likely - I'm betting this here wooden nickel - turns into a blackguard who thinks she is still a paladin.

Maybe, or maybe Rich is tweaking the nose of those who assume every paladin that falls must become a blackguard.

Miko's reaction wasn't entirely unexpected, but the way it all played out was beautiful to watch. Snapping the fiend's neck with one twist? That girl has some serious anger issues to work out... but then, we knew that.

One point in favor of Miko -> Blackguard is that the class requirement doesn't specify "friendly first contact with an Evil outsider."

I don't think that she will become a blackguard. That would be horribly clichéd. Besides, I think this encounter with an evil outsider no longer counts as "friendly"...

Personally, I think she will get some change of heart at some point without fundamentally changing her nature as a jerk. But then she will die a heroic death at a critical moment and regain her blue clothes posthumously...
