These buffs are highly likely:
Protection from Evil/Good.
Aid
Bear's Endurance, Owl's Wisdom, Eagle's Splendor
Delay Poison
Death Ward
Magic Circle against Evil/Good
Magic Vestment
Prayer
Dispel Evil/Good
Spell Resistance

These are also plausible:
Bless
Divine Favor
Divine Power
Neutralize Poison
Spell Immunity
Righteous Might

Removing 40%-50% of this defensive array on Round 1 is an extremely strong opening move if you expect the combat to last longer than 2 rounds.
If you actually manage to dispel so many of the spells - Considering that all of Redcloaks saving throw succeeded, I think he must still have a few more levels than the Azure Cleric did. Which means that even with Greater Dispelling the chance for dispelling a spell is lower than 50 %...

Now THAT's where the braille comes in handy - just have to read one character, rather than the whole scroll.

Different kinds of containers. Glass vial is good, ceramic flask is bad, metal flask is really bad. Leather bands, possibly with differing numbers of bands or studs help differentiate between types in a category.

Plus you don't have to blow skill points to pick up Speak Language [Braille].

:D

Blindness isn't such a bad opener if you're trying to (1) test the waters for magical defenses or (2) save your best spells for fighting the army in front of you and healing the army in back of you.

Certainly the likelihood could be lower than 50%, which is why I suggest 40%-50%. If you do not have at least a 35%-40% chance of making the caster level check, the mano-a-humanoido spell duel probably a very bad idea, yes?

Redcloak appears to be 13th or 14th level, based on the fact he pulled out Destruction and we have not seen him cast anything else high level. Obviously our deceased friend was at least 11th to get that Hold Monster.

You do not need to get them all. Taking down a random third might win you the day. And your allies will be extremely distraught if you fail the contest, and have not bothered to take down any buffs.

Darklone: Heroe's Feast would be a better choice for the middle of a war. Blade Barrier or Heal are the other obvious choices to prep instead of HF.

Like an extended summon monster VII, for example. We have not seen him cast an 8th-level spell just to get a cool mount. He's obviously no higher than 14th.
