As if any further proof was needed, the souls of the sapphire order have returned as vile undead ghosts! This is clear proof of their evil. As ghosts, they are no better and are perhaps worse than the cleric or Lich.

That would also mean only Hinjo knows about the whole come back as positive energy spirits thing - surely Miko, as high level paladin of the order, would know this too?

Looks like the hooded dude got killed too - red herring or just injured?

And from the doorway it kind of looks like Redcloak and Zykon are defending the gate - especially the way the paralysed guy is trying to destroy it. Hmmmmm.

While a druid is the most likely to sense a disturbance in the forest. >.<

Red herring. It has always been my understanding that he was "nameless ghost martyr mook #37" and that when Soon was talking to him it was a plural "you", as in "you the ghost martyrs you continue whittling at the lich while I, being resistant to Redcloak's turn attempts, I'll distract that priest to keep him from poofing all of you out of existence"...

But Xykon proved to be smarter than Soon. Lawful stupid paladins and their total lack of self-control... Just one taunt and they forget all notions of tactics. Now the ghost army is reduced to just four dudes, who won't outlive Redcloak's next attempt. Soon won't have the time to destroy Xykon in the meantime and he'll get pwned when Redcloak will stun him so that Xykon can attack safely.

As for Miko, I'd be sorta disappointed if whatever she does, it ends up not making the situation worse. But I know she'll make everything worse, I have faith in her. She can do it.

"gulp" :p

I may be mixing threads here, but I keep seeing people saying that the hooded paladin was "alive" before the insanity ball. Since the ghost martyrs only look different by virtue of flying, how do we know it's not Roy?

The ghost martyrs are partially transparent. The hooded figure was not earlier, and is now. It's hard to see but it's there. Also, the hooded figure has a corpse on the ground - that's tough to explain as Roy.

I still see that as the most likely scenario. In her insane state, this is how Miko understands the sitation:

You know,

I've been on every end of the Insane Character saying "Don't worry I know exactly what to do!"

As a DM this translates to: "Any notes, plans, ideas you may of had for any sort of long term strategy are going to be blown straight to Limbo in 5, 4, 3..."

As a Player: "WHAT! You are going to do WHAT?!?!. How the BLEEP did you think that is going to help us right now! Where's the Character Sheets, I'm getting ready right now."

As THE player: "Ok. So all I really need right now are 50 Weasels, an Karoke Machine with all of Tom Jones Greatest Hits, 50 Rockets, and a 55 Gallon Drum of Sunflower Oil."

"What? Oh, the Oil is completly Optional, I'm just doing it for the Weasel's Comfort."

"Well, how else am I supposed to make Rocket-Powered Crotch Seeking Weasels to take out Dread Lord Whateveryoucalledhim?"

However, what really fun is not only playing the completly Bonkers Character....

But the Party makes you Party Leader & never asks what your plans are in Advance.

To this day I have a White Wolf DM who you only have to say "The 2 Mages are going off together."

And he rolls into a little ball in the corner & mutters to himself "Why? Why don't they ever ASK him what his plan before they do it."

Something tells me that Pannel 5 is in no way connected with Pannels 6, 7, and 8.

She is one of the few people well situated to punch thru Xykon's DR though, as Frank pointed out.
