OotS #462

I've always hated Miko, and was MAD when I saw that.

Anyway, this is funny. I work at a radio station, and while music was playing I was reading this, and when I saw what happened, I jumped up and yelled (rather loudly) "THAT STUPID WHORE!"

Our program director came into the studio all worried, asking if everything is ok, and what I'm talking about.... rather than explain OoTS, I just say, "uh, Paris Hilton got let out of jail."

And he just goes, "Oh yeah, #@$& her." and leaves.

lmao.

There's still the issue of Belkar. By voluntarily associating with him, Hinjo would be in violation of the PHB pally code.
You remember when the oracle was rambling on about why he shouldn't ramble? ;)

I tend to think of OotS as actually three games going on at the same time.
While an interesting viewpoint, and probably a cool, but painful campaign to run, it is wrong. Redcloak himself laments the fact that he is a lowly NPC in the preface (or introduction?) to On the Origin of the PCs, and questions the conventional wisdom that his "lack of a player" makes him any less important to the story.

Miko is (was) the highest leveled paladin of the GUard - she almost certainly knows as much if not more than Hinjo

Why? Shojo clearly didn't trust her judgment, and the other paladins didn't like her. Shojo was perfectly comfortable lying to various members of the Sapphire Guard. It seems to me perfectly plausible that Shojo told Hinjo things he concealed from Miko, and plausible that the other paladins didn't spend their time "talking shop" with her.

Agreed. My guess is that Miko walked into the room, saw whats-his-name just about to smash the gem, figured that it must be the Right Thing to Do, and did it.

I also have a terrible feeling that Miko is actually a PC. I had a player like that in the last campaign I ran. Most of the players hated him, but his antics made my job worthwhile, not to mention a whole lot easier! The adventures wrote themselves.

Last time the gate was destroyed, in Xykon's mountain lair, the place exploded. I wonder if that will happen again.

Actually, the place exploded when Elan pressed the self-destruct trigger. When the gate itself was destroyed, only Xykon's body was affected (it went "boom").
