I "HEART" (rest obscured by curve of back.)

Looks like noise to me. But you're probably right... and I bet we'll see what follows the <3 (heart) in book, so you have to pay for the nekkid pix of Halley.

Besides slaughtering hobgoblins for the sheer joy of killing living creatures, and using an undead being as a weapon.

Am I the only one hoping that the skull becomes a recurring NPC? :)

Also, I love the fact that Haley actually called the soldiers "redshirts" in character.

I concur - I blew it up and it is definately I (heart)...something. If your prediction of buying th book to see it is right, Rich may have numbered days on this rock called Earth. ;)

Vaarsuvius is a guy?

Did anyone notice in the 12th panel that Durkon refers to Vaarsuvius as "'E"? Did Rich tip his hand here to indicate that "V" is a guy? I don't know but if it was 'she' I don't think it would be abbreviated this way. Just something I noticed that struck me out of the blue. What do you folks think?

This has come up before. It is not the first time a character in the comic has used a gender-specific pronoun for Vaarsuvius. Here's what the Giant said about it a while ago:

Q: Is Vaarsuvius male or female?

A: I will never reveal the truth! Bwahaha! Keep in mind that while certain other characters might refer to V as being male or female, that simply reveals their perception.not the actual reality of the situation.

In other words, Durkon sees Vaarsuvius as male. Others have seen Vaarsuvius as female. Belkar in particular is thoroughly neutral, although very curious, about the question. None of these characters speaks on behalf of the omniscient author.

I wonder if Belkar would detect as Evil right now? He did save Hinjo. And he hasn't done much actual evil since messing with Miko.

You're asking the wrong question.

What Good acts has Belkar done lately? Ooh, he saved Hinjo - reluctantly, so his MoJ could be removed. Nope, that doesn't reek of altruism.

Besides, a single Good act does not jump you from Evil to Good. It doesn't even push from from Evil to Neutral.

Aeric wins the thread... and owes me a replacement keyboard for the one I just spewed my vanilla coke over :)
