Having never seen Team America: World Police, I was rather reminded of Alex from A Clockwork Orange, after he had undergone the Ludovido Technique and had been conditioned against acts (or even thoughts) of violence. Only instead of just feeling like he was going to be sick, Belkar actually takes it to the logical extreme.

And how like Belkar to be surprised and annoyed by the fact that the Oracle thought there should be a consequence for his murder. What type of bad person would there be consequences for murder?

Maybe I'm just not sophisticated enough, but I found it fairly funny - mainly because of the way it kept getting worse every time Belkar tried to convince himself that it really wasn't so bad, since he clearly hates the Oracle having the last laugh more than the tangible consequences of the curse... Well, at least to start off, he did. He might be changing his mind. :)

It's also funnier if you read some of the posts on GitP forums, with people getting really silly and over-analyzing the effects of the MoJ based on the end of the previous strip. "So it causes pain? But it specifically said he'd get sicker and sicker. Like with the flu." Stomach flu, it turns out. :p
