I can't help but wonder if Haley signed the contract without reading all the fine print, or if Celia agreed to the contract for her. It's not really spelled out.

On an unrelated not, I would like to state that I actually enjoy filler strips when the comic is coming out at a reasonable rate. YMMV.

And just when that sort of changes and he actually has me cheering for Belkar for several strips, he does a strip like this where he's once again a total jerk I can't sympathize with in the slightest. He may not deserve to die for anything that happens here but I certainly want to slap him.

I found this strip to be the most lame one in a while. I'm not a big fan of Belkar outside of his one-liners. He's better than V, but that's about it.

Why? For treating that girl poorly? She's the one choosing to be there, and doesn't seem particularly upset.

Too often, we get mad at the "bad boy" for being a jerk, when in fact he's just doing what's working for him, and don't throw any of the blame on the female willingly choosing his company, as if she's some innocent victim of his inescapable black hole of magnetism. She can leave, yet she's not. Point your ire where it belongs.
