OOTS 622 is up!

Too often, we get mad at the "bad boy" for being a jerk, when in fact he's just doing what's working for him, and don't throw any of the blame on the female willingly choosing his company, as if she's some innocent victim of his inescapable black hole of magnetism. She can leave, yet she's not. Point your ire where it belongs.
You talk as though thinking poorly of both weren't a possibility.

Rich is really laying Celia's "naivete/density/conviction" (depending on your point of view) so thick I really expect there to come a moment when Haley gets a comeuppance when Celia says "Did you read the contract? I wrote it. And I didn't just give away all your money. Fair is fair. If you work for the guild you give 50% back. And when you are on an undercover assignment, they pay reasonable expenses, right?" "Right." "Well this contract doesn't have the word reasonable in it." <beat panel as Haley takes in what 50% minus expenses really means> "How much do they owe me?" "How much do you want them to owe you?"

I expect to be disappointed though.

I'm not a big fan of Belkar outside of his one-liners.
The Belkar detractors are all getting close to celebrating, right? I mean, isn't the prophecy that Belkar would die "within the year" almost a year old? I assume we only have 5-15 strips left of Belkar before he's gone.

That's very clever and would redeem her, but I get the feeling that Rich is not interested in redeeming her. She's just "a bad player" at this point, and I expect to see her booted from the gaming table, so to speak. I don't have any assurance of that, it just seems like there's a point of no return where she's annoying enough that even if she were redeemed, most of the audience goes, "So? Lame."

You could however say Belkar already died, I mean the original :):):):):):):)/I only care about myself/only I deserve to have fun Belkar died during the Curse Induced Hallucination because he realized that its easier if people think you are a team player, even if you would sell their mother and their cat for a bottle of cheap wine, since they wont bother you as much as you continue to be your :):):):):):):) self.

Don't forget, that's an in-comic year, Oracle fans!

We don't know how much time passed in the comic. I get the feeling that it was maybe a month or two at most.

Just goes to show mileage varies, despite the fact that I wouldn't let someone play some winged race in one of my games, I think she's a great player! She came up with a great creative solution to the conflict that also gives the DM opportunities to create new hooks and sub-plots from. . . Works for me! :)

Roy's been dead for months, and that was well after the oracle visit. Probably closer to half a year.

Yes, but the countdown started from the second oracle visit, which was well after Roy's death. The oracle made the prediction about Belkar's death to Roy's spirit after Belkar had already killed the oracle and he had been raised on schedule.
