It's NOT! That's the hilarious thing. :)

Example:

A group of young people have been given guidance by both their god directly and the leaders of their community to journey across the ocean and destroy an evil empire, any way they can. "The world will be in peril, and evil will claim it if you fail," they've been told. Readying their weapons, they set off, making plans, content in their faith and the fact that they KNOW what they're doing is good and right.

Now, am I describing adventurers? Or am I describing a terrorist cell?

Or conquistadors?

Avoiding politics, anyway...

Belkar is showing some chinks in his acting ability, I think.

And that family wears matching colors! How preppy! :p

"It's a good start, but I can't make any promises."

I thought you were describing soldiers setting of for a foreign country to prepare it to the right form of government and thus stop them from sending soldiers/terrorists/adventurers?

Initially I thought you were talking about the Crusades.

Na.. clearly he's talking about the Edition War or the Windows Pc vs. Mac vs.Linux debate.

Or an army. One man's terrorist is another's Founding Father.

Belkar may well be the best character in gaming comic history.

Interesting. I expect Belkar to fail to see the difference between *slavers* and "the least popular person." He has low wisdom, and sees the world through the alignment-glasses of Chaotic Evil.

But I'm surprised to see that some here share his thought. Y'all really think he has a point?

Top Reasons to Murder Someone in D&D:

1. My god(s) told me to!
2. You're different from us! You don't even speak COMMON!
3. You've been doing things that I disagree with!
4. You have something I want/need!
Um, how about:

A. They are attacking us and taking prisoners for slaves.
B. They've been raiding and slaugtering innocent people on the trade routes.
C. They're trying to bring a vile, unholy beast into the world.
D. He killed my father. He must prepare to die!
