Ok, I was thinking of the pre-Roy's death strip where the Oracle predicted Belkar's death. Clearly it's not going to be as easy as that.

But if the prophecy was given before they arrived at Azure city, and the goblins have occupied Azure city for almost a year, then Belkar's clock must be just about up, right?

Or maybe the Oracle was just screwing with them.

The prophesy was stated to Roy's ghost, which occurred just after Belkar's symbol was triggered; that in turn occurred a few weeks (less than six) after Haley and Belkar left Azure city, which occurred several weeks after Azure city fell.

So we have (at most) a perhaps as long as 4 months, although likely far less. Actually, IIRC, wasn't the new year celebrated at Azure city not long after the group arrived there (before the goblins arrived)? So subtract a week or three from the at most four months: three months top, perhaps as little as one?

Also, the oracle spoke of almost naming the village that caused Belkar's symbol to activate "should have read the map," alluding to the idea that this is a clue regarding Belkar's eventual death. As the team has been speaking recently of the map of the continent and where they should go next, perhaps a subtle clue to Belkar's death was on the map?
