So what comes next, confession or attempt to cover it up?
I would guess both. Probably immediate cover up but eventual confession due to the shame. So what comes next, confession or attempt to cover it up?
Something's gone horribly wrong with this strip when only two weeks have passed since V cast that spell. Strip #639, more than 200 strips ago. Talk about glacial pacing.
I don't see how people didn't think casting a spell that ammounts to Genocide wasn't evil..Oh, by the way - does anyone STILL think V's Familicide was a non-Evil act?
Half confession + cover up.So what comes next, confession or attempt to cover it up?
Oooooooooo, GOOD question.I don't see how people didn't think casting a spell that ammounts to Genocide wasn't evil..
The big question is, if Ravenloft existed in the OOTS-verse, would V currently be a Darklord?
See, I think this is V's chance to come clean. He/she/it has always been very close to the vest, I think this is the break out moment. I rarely say this but I hope you are well and truly wrong about this RdM. Not for any personal glory reasons, I would just hate for V to have not learned a lesson about the dangers of Epic casting. It would seem out of character, or as a the famous quote goes "Denial is not just a river in Egypt...."Half confession + cover up.
"Hmm.. I heard about an epic level spell that is able to slay anyone and everyone in the target's bloodline... I wonder who would have used this spell on Draketooth's family?!?!"
Not that I want to turn this into an extended rehash of that debate, but his main reason for doing it was to psychologically torture a foe he had already decisively defeated. His own future safety (a neutral motive, compatible with any alignment) was a consideration too, but I got the definite impression that this was, in V's then-current state of mind, a nice side-benefit; he was mainly out to make the dragon suffer. If that's not an Evil motive, I don't know what is.Whoever called this in the previous thread, good on ya.
As to whether the spell was an evil spell...yes it was, but the intent wasn't evil (it just had evil tendencies.)

Hmmm, interesting take. Can't wait to see how this plays out.Same here. However, the way I see it, how V acts now might cause his "player" to write down an alignment on his character sheet in black ink (or blood).
