D&D 4E OOTS is going 4E! Edit: Wrong it is 100% NOT! [merged]

Wrong conclusions are more interesting. :p

More seriously, I didn't want to quote the whole thing, that's why I included the link. All quotes require context.

Hmm... That got me thinking, has the characters ever acknowledged they know something of OTHER P&Ps. So have they ever brought up a WoD, CoC, Exalted, etc. term or joke?
No, but they have made a reference to Eberron.

I think it was either in relation to flying ships or something else in Cliffport, and then one of the other characters looks over and says, "Could be worse. Could be magical trains." "Good ponit."

I applaud his decision. It makes perfect sense from where he's coming from right now. OotS is much less rules-driven than it used to be, and edition change jokes have been done to death already (except where they serve a plot purpose, such as explaining why Vaarsuvius can't cast teleport). And he's clearly demonstrated a willingness to spoof 4e game terms regardless. I think it's the way to go.

The strip is here.

V: No, I understand. I'm simply saying that the architectural motifs found here in the city of Cliffport are inconsistent with the presumed medieval time period.
Durkon: It could be magic.
V: Yes, fine, I grasp the premise that any sufficiently advanced - and in particular, reliable - magic would be indistinguishable from technology, I merely find the implementation haphazard, at best.
Durkon: Meh. It could be worse, ye know.
V: Oh?
Durkon: They could have magic trains.
V: Point taken.

Both a reference to Eberron and one to Arthur C. Clarke.
