I like how they are drawing closer to the 'ideal' anti-band. Pompey vs Varrsuvius, very nice. Now they just need a new cleric and an anti-Belkar who might well be nice, if not good.

Is it just me, or does Nale's evil plan remind you of the kind of things that PCs routinely come up with? And which go flying out the window in the first six seconds of combat, of course.

Yes, it definitely does. I remember when my PCs wanted to destroy an orb that created a big antimagic effect that was somewhere underground, so they dangled the barbarian with a glowing sword at the end of a 500 ft immovable rod and used the vector calculated by triangulation to point him directly above the orb. Then he dropped down and sundered the floors of the castle that came between him and his target. It didn't work, but it almost did, and it was rather amusing...It was also the barbarian's plan (but he always did say that his Favoured Enemy was the ground).

I don't know. Durkon's opposite number just screams 'druid' to me for some reason.

Quite right. That does sound rather perfect for an opposite of Durkon, but is Nale aware of Durkon's feelings about forests, etc?

As for Belkar, he's a ranger / barbarian, so a monk / rogue should work, I think (although I'm doubtful about the rogue bit). Again, however, is Nale aware of Belkar's recent level of Barbarian? And while good may make sense, I'm not sure Nale will go that route. Perhaps a LN Monk / Rogue? Hmm, some PrCs have made there way into the comic, so perhaps a Monk / PrC will work for the anti-Belkar . . .

I wonder when we'll get a chance to see Belkar go into a rage?
