(OotS) Nale E. Coyote Strikes again!

As for Belkar, he's a ranger / barbarian, so a monk / rogue should work, I think (although I'm doubtful about the rogue bit). Again, however, is Nale aware of Belkar's recent level of Barbarian? And while good may make sense, I'm not sure Nale will go that route. Perhaps a LN Monk / Rogue? Hmm, some PrCs have made there way into the comic, so perhaps a Monk / PrC will work for the anti-Belkar . . .

What about Miko's horse? :D

I don't know, I got a huge kick out of the suggestion that the anti-Belkar actually be a good guy secretly working with the Linear Guild toward some noble purpose that is kept hidden from the rest of them.

Let's see. I think that the rule of thumb is essentially that the opposites need to fill the same role as their counterparts, just differ in method, so unless I miss my mark that means Belkar's opposite needs to be two things:

1) Short.

2) (at least nominally) a Tracker.

Ideally, since Belks is about as wise as a treestump, his opposite number might actually have something going on upstairs.

...waaaait a second. Brainwave. Belkar's opposite - another halfling ranger, secretly good, concealed mission, slick in his job:

A good aligned halfling Ranger/Justicar working incognito to track down and apprehend Belkar.

Eh?

Eh?

:heh:

Has anyone else followed the "no predictions" thing going on in the comic's message boards? I felt it was really intriguing, not the least of which because I feel the new member _was_ actually changed just because someone in the message boards correctly guessed who it was going to be.

Q: Wouldn’t it be cool if X, Y, and Z happened? You should totally do that.

A: Thanks, but I prefer to create my own plots. In fact, I try not to read anything where people suggest upcoming plot ideas because I hate it when people guess what is going to happen. I feel the uncontrollable urge to change what happens, just to prove them wrong. Petty? Probably.

Somewhat. In a way I can understand his frustration. Particularly surrounding the whole haleyspeech thing - people kept flooding him with emails, apparently. These sorts of things can just build up over time, particularly if you don't have a system already in place to deal with them.

On the other hand, I think he'd be well served by some relaxation time. Lay back, unwind, not worry about the comic and come back to it when he's less frazzed. The man seems tense.

After the dissappointment with the whole Miko thing I really like the Linear Guild's appearance. The Harry Potter thing was kind of lame but the last two strips have been pure gold!

I'm glad someone else mentioned this. I thought the lame bash on Harry Potter was just that, lame. Come on, like our hobby doesn't need something like Harry Potter to get kids into fantasy. Naw, let's keep foisting books their grandparents read written by guys who died decades ago to get them into the game. Yeah, that's been working well. :]

But that last one was great!

I like how they are drawing closer to the 'ideal' anti-band. Pompey vs Varrsuvius, very nice. Now they just need a new cleric and an anti-Belkar who might well be nice, if not good.

Pompey is going to get buried!
