Open DM Invite to hidden forum.

Hi there,

On another board it was suggested that it would be nice if there was a way for DMs to participate in conversations off of the popular boards, due to the fact that their players also frequent those boards.

To that end I've set up a password protected forum offsite for DMs to do just this.

If you want to access the forum, just let me know by emailing me at matt_neuman@yahoo.com. I'll send you an access password, and the link to the board.

Cheers,

Matt

So umm, do you scan each potential applicant to ensure they are not players lying to get the skinny on us DMs? Sounds like a logistical nightmare to me.

I don't have access to my e-mail here, but could you send the password to "temanp at hotmail dot com"?

I'll go take a gander :).

It wouldn't be possible to ensure that everyone who accesses the board is a DM, not a player, so basically its running on an honor system.

I'm trusting that you are a DM (or at least that your DM isn't a participant).

So far the boards are pretty empty, (lots of lurkers though)...but I just got them set up on Wednesday night, and passwords started going out yesterday so I guess it's not too surprising.

*shrug*

Cheers,

Matt

Basically the point is just to provide a place where you as a DM can bounce ideas around without spoiling it for your players.

So if you want to participate as a DM, it's all good as long as you aren't playing in a game run by another participant.

For example: I play and DM, so I haven't invited the two players from my games who also run games that I play in because I want to talk about the games they play in.

I'm not sure if that made sense...

*gets more coffee*

This all started with a discussion about starting up a mailing list for this (but I'm not a fan of them, so I set this up as an alternative).
