Open shopping list: What would you buy if the DRM was removed?

In another thread, a publisher asked if we actually *would* buy anything if DRM was removed, or if we were just complaining to complain.

I thought it might be usefull to publish a list of what you would buy if the DRM was removed. Specific titles. Show them that yes, there are sales waiting just behind the DRM-curtain.

For myself:

Would definetly buys, in fairly short order:

More of Monte's works!
Bushido, from FGU
Fading Suns 2nd Edition, from Holistic
Fading Suns Players Companion, from Holistic
Night City, from R. Talsorian Games
Mauders of the Wolf, from Sov. Stone
The Magic Box, from Eden
Fiends of Blood, from Eden
Secrets of the Ancients, from Eden
Armageddon, from Eden

Would buy eventually, as cashflow permits... Not being as specific here, because the number is far greater.

Rest of the Fading Suns line, from Holistic Designs
A number of old white wolf books I never managed to get when they were in print, particularly from the Mage, Changeling, and Kindred of the East lines.
Several MegaTraveler books from GDW
The Abomination Codex and Mystery Codex from Eden
Elric, by Chaosium

So, add to the open shopping list so the developers can see that yes, we do have things we want to buy, we aren't just being ornery.

Here's my list (publisher name first):

Eden - Fields of Blood, In the Pit
SSS - Aberrant d20 (when it comes out, but I might buy it in print instead depending on my book storage situation)

Possibles:

FFG - Draconic Lore, Necromantic Lore (the topics aren't high on my list but the prices are good)

other FFG - Demon Wars Campaign Setting (I like collecting magic systems)

I already own a fair bit of the stuff on the site that interests me so please don't take an abscence as a slight to a publisher.

Without a second thought, I would buy up the entire FGU catalog. I loved those games when I was a kid. Yep, every single one of those books would be sold as soon as the DRM was turned off. I wouldn't even blink at the expense.

Melnibone from Chaosium

Smuggler's Run from FFG

A majority of the WRAITH books from White Wolf.

Nothing, its the prices that keep me away. I can usually get the print copy cheaper then the pdf especially when finding it used.

In fairness, a lot of the prices are no worse than you would find on RPGNow. Some publishers have sane prices, some do not.

Agreed, and its not liking I'm buying THe ones I feel are expensive from RPGNow either.

Without DRM, I would instantly and gladly pay for:
2300AD $15 (or $24.95 if asked)
Kafer Sourcebook $9
Ranger $5

Probably another $20 of 2300 stuff, and Twilight:2000 at $15.

Not much really. To be honest, I've never purchased a pdf that costs more than $12.95, and they seem to want a lot more for anything that I'd have an interest in.

Well, I wouldn't buy PDFs from DTRPG, but I would start buying the companies that use its physical stuff again. I was going to buy "Trouble at Durbenford", but cancelled that.

Given FGU's business practices, I would never buy stuff from them, ever. (Though it's worth mentioning, for those that don't care, AFAIK, most of their games are still in print from their website, or used to be, because they are very careful to never let their games go out of print, because due to their contracts, this would let the authors of said games gain the rights to them.)

Anyway, Crothians right, you can find used copies of just about everything mentioned (maybe not the Wraith/WW stuff, since I don't follow that) on ebay for fairly cheap. Especially Fading Suns stuff. Most Elric! stuff isn't too expensive either, and Chaosium actually has a lot of those books still for sale on their website.
