Open shopping list: What would you buy if the DRM was removed?

I've been considering looking at Mage: The Ascention recently, since some people I know play it and refer to rules and such from it frequently and I'd kinda like to get in on thier conversations. The easiest way would be by PDF, but that's not going to happen with DRM. Without DRM, I'd compare prices. With DRM, it's eBay time.

If it weren't for the DRM I already would have bought a bunch of the old GDW stuff. Star Cruiser, Battle Riders, 2300, Fire, Fusion, & Steel, Striker 2...

Even with the DRM I am tempted.

Some of the out of print White Wolf stuff as well.

Even without the DRM I would not buy the FFG stuff at the price they are charging. I like their stuff, but charging more than it costs new on Amazon (or even one of my local bookstores - who discounts special orders 20%, thanks Alice!) is just silly. It might even make me think before buying their print products.

If AEG puts some of their out of print 7th Sea stuff up I would buy that, if lacking DRM.

The Auld Grump

I'd probably buy Blood & Salt and The Outcaste (both for Exalted), and Aspect Book Earth once it comes down in price. Might buy Ghelspad to check it out, the same for one of the S&S Player's Guides.

Well, I'd definitely get all the free stuff. :)

Armageddon, and probably one or more Unisystem supplements. Possibly the Buffy supplements I don't own in hardcopy.

Twilight: 2000 stuff, for sure. I'd at least finish my collection, if not buy some of the stuff I have in (somewhat beat-up) physical form in a handy, enduring electronic format.

Possibly some 2300 stuff.

Malhavoc's upcoming books, and the AU corebook PDFs I kept putting off buying.

Possibly some Exalted stuff, depending on price. Probably some more Scarred Lands stuff.

The only guaranteed sale I could see right now would be "In The Pit." at $2. It's not that I'm a cheap bastard, it's just that for most of the products I'm interested in, I can get a hard copy for the same amount or less if I luck into it at the half-price store.

Eden's Buffy and Terra Primate stuff, as well as White Wolf's Exalted stuff, would also be appealing if the prices were lower.

I dunno what I would purchase if DRM were removed. I don't know that DRM will even stop me from purchasing from them at all yet, but I can tell you that I've not purchased any products yet as I (like others I suspect) am waiting to see how things go first. Once I start buying DRM products it'll go very slow (one product every 3 or 4 months) until I'm either convinced that they are a sound investment or that they are a waste of my time.

If DRM didn't exist I would certainly be ordering products already. If the prices were also brought into line (30% off print is fair) for some of the publishers, I'd pick up everything for Midnight as well as other stuff. I don't intend to ever purchase those items in print, but if the digital stuff was cheap and DRM free I could easily be tempted into buying them electronically.

Kafer Sourcebook $9

Have to agree it's one of the best alien sourcebooks ever written IMHO. (But I own the hardcopy so it wouldn't be a priority purchase for me.

I'ld certainly get as a priority...

Eden Studios - Fields of Blood
Everything for Flashing Blades by Fantasy Games Unlimited (we actually play this regularly but its really hard to get hold of).

Eventually get...
Hositic Design
Pretty much anything I don't have in hardcopy for Fading Suns (and probably some stuff I already do).

Eden (especially if they dropped their prices to 50% discount)
All of the AFMBE stuff
All of the Conspiracy X stuff

If they lowered their prices as well...
all of FFG's - Horizon line
Grimm
Redline
Spellsinger
Virtual

I picked up Redline for half price in a FLGS and really liked it, but I wouldn't pay full price for something that I'm unlikely to actually find players for.

Cityworks
Sorcery & Steam
Traps & Treachery I & II
and probably a few other things.

$24.00 for a PDF? They have to be kidding, I wouldn't pay that for a hardback copy.

It doesn't matter to me if it has DRM or not.
I purchase PDFs only when the items are out-of-print and when I cannot find them at my local gaming store.

I purchased about 20 PDFs from SVGAMES... these were all 1st&2nd edition D&D adventures that I couldn't easily obtain... it was nice to have them immediately instead of trying to get them through ebay.

I would have purchased Tome of Horrors (with or without DRM), but I was able to find a copy at DoOrDice.com.

Right now, I feel that I am on top of my purchases and there is nothing I want that is out of print. (that I don't already have).

Perhaps if some titles dropped down to about 10% of printed price, I'd start buying a lot more, but for now I am set.
