True, but dude HAWAII :D , you lucky bugger
Dude, I know Hawaii. Lived here all my life. For me, the novelty have worn off.

Besides, it's not the sex capital of the world. That's why I have my eyes on Amsterdam. :]

I feel your pain.

Channel 43 in Syracuse started out as a UPN affiliate, but switched to the WB in 2001 (Ironically, at the same time Buffy the Vampire Slayer switched to UPN. My sister, who was looking forward to seeing Buffy, wasn't happy about this). So we don't get UPN. There is supposed to be a UPN affiliate in Syracuse, but for some reason we don't get it. We don't even get it through DirecTV! We didn't get Channel 43 when it first came on, but it increased its power before the end of its first year. So the brain trusts decided to make the UPN affiliate in our area, while Channel 43 is stuck with my network! A person with average intelligence would have realized it would make more sense to put their network on the channel people actually. Of course, network programming executives don't have average intelligence (How else do you explain MTV putting more increasingly stupid crap on when people have been complaining for the last decade that MTV doesn't play enough videos?)
Do they want The CW to fail?

I understand that, but I really meant the country side, you can't get bored of that can you?

I live in the UK (a few streets away from where they use to make the Tomb Raider video game, or where most of the RR jet engines are made the rest of the world flys around on)
I was born and still live in Derby/ Derbyshire (And ya, no hobbits around here even though a "shire") (I've also lived in a couple of other countries though, you tend to take your own country for granted till you get out and see others)

And even though some may think that merry o England is an "interesting" local,
this is home for me, and I never get bored of the countryside (this area is known as the "Peak District" some place around here is the highest place in England)
even though I live in the very center of the city I still get to be woken in the middle of the night by Fox's crying (kinda weird sound) and get to see Hawks, kestrels, squirals in the city center ;)

I like where I live ;)

Personally, I think they set their video standard requirement too high for most stations. I think it was mentioned that The CW were only interested in any available local free-air TV station that are broadcasting HD signal over a large area. KFVE only work well in Oahu and Maui but not the other islands (they'd have to petition to FCC in order to increaese signal strength and range). Only the Big Four can broadcast over all Hawaiian islands (ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS).

Nationally Fox is one of the "Big 4" not PBS.
