OOTS rocks again! I never stopped enjoying it, but now it's back to its halcyon days!

I think V and Belkar might reconcile at some point in the future. Who knows, maybe they will even end up together, though gender ambiguity of V could make that difficult... or interesting in a very distubing way. Than again, "disturbing" fits Belkar pretty well.

Nah, I bet he will become a Deathless (those Positive energy undead). They aren't evil but don't stay good.
At least in Ebberon: there was a book series where they party met one and they found it killed the last people who tried to leave (obviously evil to kill just because lonely).

Wow. What a strip! It makes me sad to see V headed this way, but I suppose that the seeking of ultimate power does come with a price. Compare this strip with this earlier one if you have any doubt that V has completely changed character.

Hmmm, it seems readers are buying what Elan is selling. Me, I suspect him of deliberately playing dumb because it was the safest way out of the conversation. He knows that V will buy it, and this way he doesn't have to either back down or force a confrontation.

I had a similar thought, but I was thinking it was the (hypothetical) player deciding to play Elans innocence/ignorance in this moment to get out of the situation. (Of course there are no players implied in OotS usually. Game rules, yes, players, no.)
