While V is certainly acting evil, I'm not sure he's wrong.
The world is threatened. Spending months helping Hinjo and co doesn't seem to be helping them save it. They are wasting time.
OK, for the V apologists: does threatening a fellow party member (even if said party member doesn't understand the threat) count as evil?
Was the second player evil or or just Choatic Neutral?I'm sure I've seen that scenario played out in games - one player is heavily involved in the game, identifies with the NPCs, enjoys roleplaying etc - and the other just wants to get to the end of the module and blow stuff up![]()
Neither of them would necessarily have to be evil or chaotic. In fact the one who want to get to the end is more likely to be lawful. Even V's current actions aren't evil for their motive, they're evil for their methadoligy. Simply put V puts a smaller output of effort for a smaller gain, saving the people of the Azure City, behind a larger output of effort for a larger gain, saving the world. He sees Roy as a necessary element of that second good and therefore more important than all of the survivors of the Azure City. Was the second player evil or or just Choatic Neutral?
That is a clever insight and spin on it.I'm sure I've seen that scenario played out in games - one player is heavily involved in the game, identifies with the NPCs, enjoys roleplaying etc - and the other just wants to get to the end of the module and blow stuff up![]()
Just because V wants to get to the end, doesn't make him lawful, unless he is following the laws of the society by getting there.Neither of them would necessarily have to be evil or chaotic.
