Not sure about conversions but we should have an idea about classes before the set actually comes out.

I feel like I can say to a 99.9% certainty that WotC will certainly issue conversion guidelines. These will likely be equivalent to the 2E to 3E guidelines.

No, Wizards has specifically said there will be no conversion guidelines. The changes are too big, and they felt the point-by-point conversion from 2e to 3e failed. So, they encourage players to either roll new characters, or build a "faithful reinterpretation" of their old character.

I've heard there's supposed to be some sort of conversion guidelines published, but I do suspect the main thrust of the guidelines will be the "faithful reinterpretation".
