[Oriental Adventures] The anti-undead spell that goes phbbbbt

A bit late, but I'll chime in since this has come up in my game a few times. From the description of the spell, the ancestor spirit deals a sharp blow to the target. so I simply used that and said it would effect undead, sticking with the fort save. It's worked pretty well.

Jester, not to devolve into a rules design discussion, but I'm not sure any of those actually exist - that aren't rules mistakes, that is. :p

Oriental Adventures is 3E, right?

So in the 3E DMG, we find:

Disruption
Any undead creature struck in combat must succeed at a Fortitude save (DC 14) or be destroyed. A weapon of disruption must be a bludgeoning weapon. (If this property is rolled randomly for a piercing or slashing weapon, reroll.)
Caster Level: 14th; Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, heal; Market Price: +2 bonus.

(Of course, in 3.5 they've made it a Will Save, which gives you a starting point for updating Ancestral Vengeance to 3.5, perhaps...?)

Aha, I knew there was something!

Thanks, Hypersmurt- I do believe that was what I'd seen before (though I can't shake the nagging feeling that there's another one or two of those in there somewhere...). And I'm glad to have a good precedent laid out (change it to a Will save).
