Origins Awards 2010 Nominations - Discuss!

It's not a good thing for the awards. When the top companies stop participating it means the awards are become more irrelevant because they are not about the awarding the best.

Yeah, this is what I'm thinking too.

However, as a consumer, I must admit that the Origin awards really haven't been relevent to me, well, ever.

I know. We should just automatically give an ENnie Award to the top selling company every year and save everyone a lot of time, money, postage and hassle. ;)

B-)

That's what I used to think, but I have to say you're missing out on some really great gems if you ignore the awards. Doctor Who, FantasyCraft, and Swashbucklers of the 7 Skies are all really great rpgs.

That's not even close to how the Ennies work, but the ENnies are the same way. If the big boys don't participate then they stop mattering. The thread though is about the Origins Awards though and not about other awards.

Warhammer 3e and Pathfinder not nominated?

That was surprising.

Nice to see Knights of the Dinner Table get a nomination.
As best "Game Acessory"...? ;) That got a smile from us.

I guess it's the only category it could possibly fit in since the magazine category was dropped several years ago.

Congrats to all the nominees. Well deserved.

Good luck!
