[OT] All you French speakers, help me out...

Just a few words about "Adieu". Although it seems, for some reason, to be used pretty liberally by people for who fench is not the first language (much more then -I've- ever heard it used by fench-speaking people, anyway, probably because Adios (in spanish) is so wildly used), Adieu is indeed pretty darn final. To better understand, Adieu is two words put together, A and Dieu, which means To and God. It basically means "I'll see you again when we stand before God."

Count another vote in the camp of "Adieu" being the most final word in the French Language. Usually, when people part company in french, we say Au Revoir, or A Bientot, or Salut. ...Or even just "Bye". :)

Adieu is generally meant for people you never expect to see again.
