[OT?] Anyone here ever play CHILL?

First Post
The recent threads on other RPGs brought to mind a game that I only played a couple of times as a teen, and which I'd love to see some discussion about -- Chill.

This was a horror role playing game without the CoC mystique about it. It was more action oriented, if I recall correctly. I can remember some of the pre-fab characters that they had. One really cool one was a martial artist with a big bushy mustache that I like to play.

Anybody else remember this game? Play it? What do you remember about it? I hobby shop I used to frequent had some old chill merchandise, but not the same edition I used to play

hehe

I remember Chill. I still have the book somewhere. Ever notice that the clown-guy on the cover kind of looks like Reagan? Anyway, we played it when it first came out. Fun game.

The box game by Pace Setter or the hard back?

I loved the old box game, remember the first game we player, it was the circus on the island.

The hardback just did not catch the feeling of the PaceSetter one.

I played it once or twice; owned the box set, but sold it at least 15+ years ago. Just saw the rule book from the box set sitting on the used shelf at my local game store and got a kick out of looking at all the old artwork... who illustrated that? Jim Holloway? It was the same guy who did much of Star Frontiers and Paranoia.

Chill...

I have all the book from both the Mayfair and Pacesetter editions...

We still get together and play from time to time...

Later!

I have the hardback (Mayfair) book. I loved it...

In Spain they said it was almost banned in the US because of it's high violence and horror. Was it true or it was an urban legend?
