I know someone that is looking to move out there and would be interested.. I forwarded the link to this, but he is at GenCon at the moment. Drop me an email and I can forward it to him.. He works for Necromancer Games and paints mini's for Reaper.

*twitch* I'm so glad I got out of Southern California once I was done with college. :)

That's not a bad price, really. Depends on how much cabinet and fridge space is included.

According to my rough estimate, a 30-year mortgage on a $100,000 home will cost you around $600 a month. Up here in the midwest, $100 grand will buy you a lot more house than it does in California. :)

I didn't mean to imply that MacMathan was trying to rip people off or anything like that, just commenting on real estate prices. :)

Yes prices really are outrageous. There's not many places where you can buy a house at all for $100,00 in California these days, unless you are way up north (like out of Redding!!)

Sigh. I so want to go to Colorado.

Heh. Emiricol, my wife and I couldn't find a house in the San Jose/Santa Clara/Saratoga area for less than $400,000 that didn't require an additional $50,000 to $150,000 worth of work.

Not that we could have afforded the $400K anyway.... I think we'll just stick to renting as long as we're out here....

Yeah, house prices are pretty outrageous in So Cal. The average house price in Orange County was up to 414k this month.

The cabinet and fridge space is pretty evenly divided. From what I have seen in the local papers $595w/utilities included is about the going rate down here.

Makes me feel better about my own apartment (I live alone and pay a little more than half that for rent).

Then again, I can get shot at going down the street for smokes. So, there is that. :D

I lived in Redding and it wasnt cheap either. Good home around 200k. Now, I live in Rochester MN. and the same deal, with all the doctors out here for Mayo..
