Angels all the way!! I'm from the Anaheim area, and I've been waiting 16 years for this...

No offense, but you may be waiting another 16 years after this :p I kept think all season the Angels were overachieving, but you got to hand it to them.

I remember that '86 series against the Red Sox, I was like 10 or 11 at the time. Poor Donnie Moore. One in a long line of baseball suicides...

Hey, looking at the box score, the Angels and Yankees are now tied 1-1. The Halos managed to split in the Bronx and 2 of the last 3 games are in Anaheim. I like those chances.

Oh, and please, leave poor Donnie Moore alone. :(

News flash... this is a public forum. I didn't say anything negative about Donnie Moore but his story is big part of the '86 series. In fact, I was sympatizing for him.

Nothing I said was out of place. You can now drop act of being his guardian angel.

Baseball has been too depressing this year. I'm originally from around Cleveland, and the Indians are the only baseball team I ever was fannish about (I've moved a lot). I know it's really too much to expect, but after the last six years, I was getting used to having my team's hopes dashed in the playoffs, or even in the World Series. This non-contender by June stuff stinks.

You people make me sick!

Please!

The Angels are the Cinderella story? The Yankees are baseball? Ladies and gentlemen, you are ignorant or your minds have been poisoned by ESPN's longball hype machine.

There was only a brief mention of the small-market team with this year's Cy Young and MVP awards all but wrapped up. And there was absolutely no mention of the team they face in their ALDS, the team with baseball's best farm system and a decade of baseball's lowest payroll. The team that took their 1999 AA team and turned them into the best fielding team in recent history, a team with six different, individual All-Stars in 2 years, a team more young talent than any three others in baseball. A team that has been called America's Team for the values that it represents, not the city it plays in.

Maybe, when Oakland faces the fury of 55,000 screaming Midwesterners in a forbiddingly small Metrodome, and the Minnesota Twins fight their way to the bitter end of this postseason, as they did in 1965, 1987 and 1991, maybe then you will have a chance to see what baseball is truly about.

Pardon me, Captain First Amendment!!

I can't imagine why bringing up one of the darkest turns of events in club history would upset an Angels fan. Hey, let's talk about Lyman Bostock while we're at it...

Small market this, small market that...

I made no reference to the Twins and A's. I'm from the Anaheim area, and they're my team. Simple as that. I don't think of them as Cinderella, or any such thing.

LETS GO YANKEES!!!

Let's face it, the NY Yankees ARE baseball!

Of course they are. They bought the biggest bandwagon so people all over the country who don't have any knowledge about baseball can wear fashionable caps and brag to their friends.

In football, they're Cowboys fans (although that bandwagon is emptying rather quickly).....in hoops, they're Lakers fans.

On that note, here are my predictions:

ALDS
Yanks over Angels in 5
A's over Twins in 4

NLDS
Braves over Giants in 5
Cards over D-Backs in 3

ALCS
A's over Yanks in 7

NLCS
Cards over Braves in 6

World Series
A's over Cards in 6

Let's see some more predictions
