I bought and installed the Road to Rome addon for BF1942, but now my merciless doesnt work! Ack!
Not to worry - after you have BF1942 itself, the Road to Rome addon, the 1.3 patch, and the Merciless stuff all installed, simply go to the three init files located on your hard drive at:
- C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942
- C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Patch Data\XPack1
- C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\XPack1
And make sure that the init files look like this (if they don't, then simply cut & paste the following into the init files and save the files):
game.CustomGameName XPack1
game.addModPath Mods/MC1942_TexSet/
game.addModPath Mods/BF1942/MC1942_BloodFX/
game.addModPath Mods/MC1942_Crosshair/
game.addModPath Mods/MC1942/
game.addModPath Mods/XPack1/
game.addModPath Mods/BF1942/
game.customGameFlushArchive 0
game.setCustomGameVersion 1.3
game.setCustomGameUrl "http://www.battlefield1942.com"
game.setCustomGameInfo "XPACK1_INFO"
Game.setMenuMusicFilename "music/slaughter4.bik"
Game.setLoadMusicFilename "music/vehicle4.bik"
Game.setWinMusicFilename "music/vehicle3.bik"
Game.setLoseMusicFilename "music/menu.bik"
Game.setCampaignLoseMusicFilename "music/theme2.bik"
Game.setDebriefingMusicFilename "music/briefing.bik"
If you need any more help, then check out the Merciless Creations website
here.
Incidentally, there are no Merciless loader screens yet for the Road to Rome missions - apparently, those will come in the upcoming Merciless Historic Addon mod version 4.0
      I hope that helped!
