[OT] Birthday. Ugh.

Dr Midnight

It's my birthday. Spank me already.

I hate aging, and I'm only 25... er, 26 now. I've got many years of bitter, hollow birthdays and "I feel so old" whines ahead of me.

Once I turned 22, it hit me like a brick in the teeth: Whoa whoa whoaaaa, stop... Why am I still aging? 21 felt good enough to last for several decades. A decade ago I was in high school. That's so sad to me.

How does this all make me feel? Like this...

Wow. I'm still relatively a yongun, and I already think it's a gas. If it got any better, I wouldn't have much more reason to go around being bitter.

I walked through Stanford campus yesterday, though I recognized someone, and realized all at once that the first middle school students I taught are in, not their freshmen, but their sophamore years in college now.

I feel your pain. :(

Yeah I understand how it is Dr Midnight. I'm 28. I feel old, bitter and I'm unemployed. Hell my second birthday while being unemployed is coming up. Boy does that suck.

Just to make you feel worse...

Hey Doc -

26 was actually my worst B'day. You are on the downhill side of your 20s, sliding toward the inevitibility of 30 and the yawning chasm beyond! In addition, your metabolism should start to slow down right about now, so any food that you eat, smell or even look at immediately grafts itself to your midsection. You have about another year or so before the warranty on your body expires and things start to break (knees, shoulders, ankles, etc). Face it...

LIFE IS OVER

Of course, I am just cranky since I have 5 months, 9 days and 11 hours until 40 (not that I am counting or anything:D)!

Hey Doc...happy birthday. I guess I'll get on the bandwagon as well, mine is tomorrow (April 6th) and I'll be a mere 33! So as I see it I have all of you except Old One...and with a name like that none of us should be older :)

Ya, ageing sucks but until someone figures out a way to stop it I'm going to have fun with it. Actually the worst thing was when I developed a beer gut, and I don't even drink!! Stay active!! That was my biggest mistake. Losing weight is never as fun as poutting it on....:(
