Interesting thing about Bob the Builder. I work at a radio station. A while back, we got some Bob the Builder CDs to give away. I took an extra one home to my son. When we listened to it we found that all of the characters were British! My only guess is that the show is produced in the UK (it is a BBC production) and then redubbed for American TV. Why they would do that is beyond me. The funny thing is, if you imagine the characters with thick British accents the show somehow makes more sense.

WAIT JUST A MINUTE are you telling me that Bob and co have American Accents in America? Now thats absolutely horrible, Bob is British and only makes sense if he has a Brit accent

next your be telling me that Thomas the Tank Engine has a Detroit twang!

Oh and Steve did change his shirt - they showed his closet in one episode and it was filled to the brink with black and green striped shirts

My son inexplicably likes Teletubbies, I refuse to let him watch Barney, and well since the late great Sesame Street degenerated into Open Sesame I have lost my faith in childrens television

But yeah Bob shouuld do Wendy

and as an aside I am still waiting for Thelma to say "Scooby shag Daphne"...

Bob the builders cool, And I find EXTREMELY strange that anyone would put american accents on them, it doesn't even make sense!Specially with all those rural farms etc.

My daugher is 14 months old. What is actually on doesn't matter to her much, unless it's Teletubbies. That she's crazy for. She does "Tubby bye bye" every time.

When I see teletubies they ALWAYS go "Tubby bye bye"

Well, it's nice to know that everybody out there is as sick as I am. I mean, what are we thinking? This is a children's show! But you know they want each other.

Does everybody just hate Lofty as much as I do? I mean, even if you don't believe in yourself, at least play along. Be part of the group! This is your job, after all, man. Are there any episodes where Bob or Roley just smack Lofty for being a whiny bitch?

But yesterday my 3 yr old son just did the "cow that's a basketball" from Blues Clues, and I just about died laughing. He's using his fingers for horns, mooing like mad, and jumping up and down (you know, like a basketball, get it? )

I know the feeling! Every freelancer today should try to either write or edit a document while their child is screaming or getting into things she shouldn't, while you have to clean the house, make breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and pay attention to the wife's war stories whenever she returns home.

As is Bear in the Big Blue House. Im almost 23 (on the 29th) and i watch that for ONE reason. The guy who deos bears' voice did Magelleons voice from Eureka's Castle (also another GREAT show)

I'v got a truly terrifying fact for you: in the US, Teletubbies is Dubbed. Even the babies laugh is made to sound more American! I kid you not!
