(OT) Burning Man 03

Anyone going to Burning Man this year? (It's a freaky festival in the desert in Nevada that runs for about a week at the end of August/early September... you can check out burningman.org if you want to know more, if you're going to be there you prolly already know it!)

If anyone is, I'd love to hang out with ya there- let's see what we can do to hook up!

I'd love to go, it always sounds great... but I'm way over here, and it's way over there, and I'm way over here again.

Err... well, there's lots of weird music and sound there everywhere, and tons of pretty lights, and buttloads of fire cannons, flaming robots, and other pyrotechnic goodies...

It's an experiment in temporary community. It's the culture that doesn't exist. It's a big party. It's... it's impossible to describe.

Worth checking out if you like the sounds of any of it. It's the weirdest thing I've ever experienced, and this will be year seven for me.

when and where will it be held exactly? I remember hearing about this years ago and thinking it sounded cool at the time but alass I had no wheels then.

It takes place the week leading up to, and culminating in, Labor Day weekend. It's held in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada (we build our own city).
