OT Congrats Louisville

quote:
The second half was a MUCH better game than the first half. Now, as long as Virginia Tech stops W. Michigan...

Whoa now there fella, you started off talking all sensible, but after that "Now..." you went into that crazy talk!

Trust me, Western Michigan is not going to be stopped.
(Even if the football team loses, we knew how to riot better then anyone else in the nation - I know I went there for 7 years!)

It will be a good game, best of luck Claude, I hope that we little broncos don't take all the win out of your sails! ;)

Maybe for spoiled pansys in Florida and SoCal, but those of us raised in more normal climates have no problem with weather :)

Trust me, I lived in LA for 4 years. It becomes a scary place when the light rains....er, I mean, WINTER STORM 2001 hits. :)

Eh.
It's safe to say that a consistent, hard downpour was pretty much the only reason Oregon/Oregon State was close last year, and if anyone knows how to deal with rain, it's teams from the Pacific Northwest.

Also, despite the 'San Diego, CA' location, I only moved out here in 2001. I'm an Ohio native, actually.

First off, I can remember the last time there wasnt a major thunderstorm in florida. Sure they only last for five minutes, but they are strong and have many numbers.

Next, FSU always makes some stupid losing game versus one no name team save for the "perfect season". But anyway, FU i mean UF is goin down.

Ya, it's the same thing with the Big Ten schools, except we are nearly as good. We start out in the preseason with few hopes. THen one or two teams will do really good (this year its OSU and PSU), then the team will lose to a MAC team or one of the weaker conferece teams. Sometimes it's tough being a college football fan. :D

So, I'm a Buckeye through and through. What other types of people do we have around here?

Shame, Shame

It's just like an FSU fan to start whining and crying the second something goes wrong. We lost to Miami (in the Swamp, no less) and we had, and gave, no excuses. Coach Zook was under extreme criticism and gave no excuses. We just circled the wagons and moved on. Maybe FSU fans should learn that...

I'm a Syracuse fan myself. I went to high school near there (where any sports fan pretty much has to follow SU), and my alma mater plays Division III ball, so I never really attached to any other team. And even when the Orange have a great quarterback -- so their offense actually works, which we haven't had since McNabb graduated -- we still manage to lose to some second-tier non-confrence opponent in addition to the expected loss to Miami (and nobody ever expects SU to beat Virginia Tech, but we usually win that game anyway, though it'd take a minor miracle this year).

Losing 30-0 is more than stopped! :D

Ya, well, Virginia Tech is a pretty darn good team this year.

Biggest suprise for me has been PSU losing to Iowa. The second half, though was a good game with Penn State making the great come back, to bad they lost in OT.
