Am I the only person in the world who doesn't like this idea? It seems an awful lot like "freedom of speech, unless you call during dinner." Personally, I find that troubling.

It depends. I had a friend whose family got so many credit card soliciatation calls that they literally did not pick up their phone anymore and filtered everything through an answering machine.

When I was visiting them for the first time, I had wondered why they never picked up the phone, but while eating breakfast, I think they got 5-6 phone calls within the span of an hour.

I hear its a serious problem in Japan, as far as cell phones and getting text messages.

Especially, as I understand it, because you have to pay a fee for every text message you receive.
