[OT] Good taste, bad taste? Take a look at this promotional campaign...

Personally, I like the original spoof better. ;)

They may be trying to be all avant-guard and edgy, but GURPs beat them to it with In Nomine. I do like the artist, though. I think it's the same one who did the comic book styled panels in the beginning of Werewolf. Maybe. If not, that sort of style is evoked.

Didn't offend me, but it didn't work for me either.

(If you really want to annoy White Wolf, don't get all riled up about this puerile ad campaign. Just tell 'em you won't play Demon until they do a d20 conversion).

Now if you want to know an ad that *really* offends me, it's Jaguar using the Clash's 'London Calling' to sell their cars.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled RPG thread ...

Which they will promptly do under the Sword and Sorcery Banner... :)

Man, I now feel horribly cheated that I learned to play D&D from a kid who sat next to me on the bus in the fourth grade, instead of from a hot bisexual sexpot who advocated after-game orgies.

Why didn't anyone let me know about all the gaming sex? The wildest my group gets is making lewd comments about female fighting-game characters when our session degenerates into playing on someone's PS2.

Personally, I think the whole thing is stupid. First of all, who is this being advertised to? If it were not for this link, I would've never seen this mock website. To be honest, if it weren't for FARK.com, I'd probably never had heard of Jack Chick! Frankly, I think people overestimate the importance or the impact of this tripe.

If they wanted satire that was actually funny, they should have tried something along the lines of a 2nd generation RPGer being recruited by an anti-homosexual group, or something along those lines.
