With all the time spent today on revisiting and remembering the pain and suffering of a year ago, I wanted to begin a simple thread dedicated to the good things in life.
I just came back inside from taking our dogs for a walk followed by a family game of tag in the front yard. True, my wife and I had to carry Griffin (he's only 7 months-old) while we chased our older boy Jacob. But these moments spent together outside, felt better than anything I can recall in the past few weeks. A cool late summer evening; a slight breeze rustling the leaves; the sounds of my kids laughter; a broad smile displayed across my wife's lovely features.
Those are the good things...and may everyone touched by the horrible events of 9/11 find moments like these close at hand, even if only in memories.
