Ok, not really, but mud and dirt are all I can seem to find when I'm out here searching for a bit of central california clay for your big project.

Anyone else able to send our resident wheel-man some true clay from Cali? ( alsih2o has requested a pencil sized peice of clay from every state or country he can get some from for a project of his... )

does he want processed clay? or just the stuff you dig up in the playground? I have bags of clay sitting in my garage... I used to be big on ceramics, and some pottery. But in my old age, I am just into drawing and painting (minis)

Dug up, and not from a playground (where it may have been trucked in from somewhere else) but from the actual local natural ground. The project is to include clay that originates from all over, not that you can buy in stores all over.

i have recieved lots of clay samples from friends from various places, but have not yet recieved any clay from anyone at Enworld.

i feel like i cannot complain, as barrend nobeards 3/4 painted gnomes litter my studio as does someone elses red dragon.

eh, i have lots of time....if anyone is flooded with good intentions holler again, i am still patient and waiting the scale mold i smade, and the backing is ready.

as for you BFG, thanks for dirtying your hands, i really appreciate the effort

Hey Clay!

Once I get to your area, I hope to bring you a few bits of clay from different areas, I'm heading to Redding CA in a couple of days and the local ground is pretty much red clay (I grew up there and had a lot of rock removing and gardening stuff to do as a kid). I'll try to grab on to some other samples in other places, too, but I really don't know how big the samples will be... Pencil-sized is the preference, eh? I'll do my best!
