The "water" in cans of tuna is usually brine. I'm no vet, but I wouldn't think that the salt in the brine would be good for Buddy's kidneys. Maybe Umbran's GF can help answer this one.
You can get tuna in spring water with no added salt. The water doesn't taste as fishy though. You'll have to see if Buddy likes it as much.
