[OT/Humor] Is GI Joe now "evil"?

Well he is a bad guy (Cobra). Obviously he wouldn't go over well in America with parents, but would probably sell great. Some horns and some cloven feet would really seal the deal.

Looks interesting. Are GI Joe action figures different in other countries apparently?

(OT: I like the Vash and Frylock sigs that both posters before me have. Very interesting.)

Well, many figures were recolored.

Oh, and they dropped the whole "Real American Hero!" angle. :)

In most of the world, the GI Joe line was in fact renamed Action Force.

it was suprisingly hard to find that picture.

The only difference I see in the non-US figures is that they are known as 'International Heroes'; most still say GI Joe.

I also found some US figures that I never heard of. The Lunatrix Empire alien figures and the Icecream Soldier? Good thing they appeared at the end of the GI Joe-era. :D

jdavis: Too bad I didn't think of using frylock first. ;)

EDIT -----
Someone even made rules for using GI Joes like a minature game, kinda; screw D&D, I wanna be on the joe team! This makes me wanna play GI Joe again, even if I'm 22. :D

I wish I hadn't lost my Seargent Slaughter figure, a friend had the William "The Fridge" Perry GI Joe. They got sort of silly towards the end. Talking Cobra Commander sounded alot like he was saying "sleep with the dead" of course my favorite was the Indian who had arrowheads on the tips of the bullets in his gun.

I'm just glad people recognize Frylock, I had a Master Shake and a dancing meatwad too, but I had problems getting them to shrink.

I would never have boughten this figure! What has good ole' fashioned toys come to. I'm surprised he didn't come with the Book of Vile Darkness also.:p

Isn't there one player in NHL whose name is Satan? Apparently it doesn't mean that whereever they make those.. .satans.

It's weird how the names translate into other languages. I know on Dragonball Z, that the big human warrior who wins most of the tournaments is called Hercule on television, but the original translation is Satan. Pretty funny when you have all of the fans cheering his name.

edit: spazzed out and forgot what cartoon I was referencing...
