Big congratulations, Kengar!

Speaking as a relatively new dad (my daughter isn't 2 yet) I can tell you you've got some exciting times ahead of you!

Cheers

I would say that I wish I had a wife and kids, but since I'm 17 that's not a good thing to wish for right now.:D

I definitly want to get married and have a few kids, eventually, tho. You wouldn't know it if you read my posts....or talked to me.....or...knew me..I have to work on that...but I'm a very soft-hearted guy.;) And I pride myself on being able to resist absolutely anything if I want to, and I've resisted a lot of things in the recent years, mostly short-term=good long-term=bad things. I.E. {for lack of a better phrase} Sex, drugs, and...bad music. My 'peers' think I'm a prude/loser since I dont get drunk at parties and wake up next to one of my school's many sluts.....but I prefer to call myself wise.

And a question to all you married w/ kids folk out there: How much time elapsed between gettin' hitched and becoming parents?;)

Congrats,

I have a daughter who is just about 6 now and I must say that there is indeed something special about the relationship between a Dad and his baby girl.

I have never loved anyone or anything so completely in my life, sometimes it makes me cry with joy just to hear her say Daddy.

I concur with the guy who said that it's like a rollercoaster ride (having kids that is) however, I must say that it is the absolute best rollercoaster I have ever ridden.

My baby just lost her second tooth the other day and will finish kindergarten this summer. Time flies, take lots of pictures now you'll love to look at them later.

Hope everyone is ok, and stuff,

Congrats.....girls rule....

How'd you decide on the name? I like it, sounds very unique. Now you just have to worry about what weird nicknames other kids'll make up out of it. :)

We decided on Rachel because we just liked the sound of it and, since my wife's family is Argentinian, we wanted something that worked well in Spanish and English. Carmen is the name of my wife's aunt, who passed away several years ago.

Congrats, man!

Seeing as there are some of us (*coughs*) keeping the "Dateless dweeb" sterotype alive for gamers, it's good to see other gamers propagating the species... :D

Congrats! I wish I could see the pics, but they don't seem to be there anymore...

Speaking as the father of 4 girls -- 11, 6, 5, and 9 months -- I have to say you are in for a treat! :D I have never experienced such joy in my life, and my wife and I could not imagine ever not having our daughters. There are always bumps in the road, but that little hand wrapped around your finger makes it all worth it...

Do me a favor and be sure and help your wife out all you can, even if you're tired from working all day...being a mom is the hardest job ever imagined, but being a loving and supportive husband strengthens the bond of family that seems to be in short supply these days -- there are too many children born without the love and support of two parents.

Sorry, don't mean to get maudlin...kudoes to you, dude!

P.S. Yes, mine are being raised as gamers, and yes, they all have their own dice...except the little one, of course (I haven't found any foam dice).

First off, Congrats! She's a cutie.

Our first daughter (now 2.75) was born roughly two and a half weeks after our 5th wedding anniversary. (Not so) coincidently, that's about 10 months after I got a job that gave me a raise basically equal to my wife's earnings and she retired.

Daughter #2 is due three weeks from yesterday -- expect my proud papa post soon.
